Lick-Wilmerding Cross Country Team gears up for State Championships.
As a result of their performance at the North Coast Section Meet in
Uhiah, CA last weekend, the girls XC team of Lick-Wilmerding High School
in San Francisco, CA will compete at the State Championships. The
girls:
Charlotte Gjedsted, Ivy Ewald, Anne Erickson, Momo Nakamura, Jessica Ladd,
Cory Brosnahan and Anna Gil will compete in the girls division V race at
11:45 in Fresno, CA's Woodward Park. Coach Rachel will accompany the team
along with Coach Blake Respini and Coaches Jeff Gardiner and Kathy Berman.

Congratulations to Hypercat, Chuck Morganson -
San Francisco Triathlon Club's Most Improved
Triathlete of 2003!
Chuck improved his 30 minutes improvement at the Olympic Distance
(from 3hr to 2:30), one hour improvement at the Ironman distance and
marked improvement at the half-marathon and marathon distances. Chuck has
put in a tremendous amount of smart training and hard work. Go Chuck! And
he got engaged this summer! He trains under the guidance of Philip
Casanta.

our Developmental Cycling Team...Team Hypercat.
We are welcoming cyclists of all abilities. If you've been discouraged
from joining other cycling groups, Hypercat may be for you.
Women of any racing category are highly encouraged to attend.
Novice male racers in categories 3,4,5 are welcome.
Triathletes are welcome.
Our next recruitment meeting is set to be scheduled sometime in the first
two weeks in December at Hypercat Headquarters in Richmond, CA.

Kerry finished in the top half of her competitive 30-34 age group, her
best finish ever! Treasure Island closes out Kerry's season and she
will transition into some leisure training and recovery and then
preparations for 2004 will begin.

Treasure Island Volunteers Needed!
A note from Golden Gate Triathlon Club Board Member - Stephnee
Greenwood.
Hey all-As some of you know, I'm pretty involved in the sport of
Triathlon-which includes racing but also giving back the sport. I'm
currently a Board Member on the Golden Gate Triathlon Club (ggtc.org),
one of the oldest and largest tri clubs in the nation. We are the host
club for the second annual Treasure Island Triathlon on Nov. 2 and
3rd. Last years race was a huge success with over 1900 athletes and
the Olympic course record set by a relay team of USA Olympians.
We need individuals and groups to help volunteer for all areas of the
race.-THIS IS GREAT FREE PR FOR COMPANIES! Everything from timing ,
transition and aid stations (can you say action) to body marking and
finish line food. Volunteers are need both Friday, Saturday and
Sunday (Nov. 1-3).
It will be a great time, and of course...you�re guaranteed a
t-shirt!!

Powerman Zofingen in Switzerland has long been heralded as one of the
toughest multi-sport races in the world...more challenging than the
rigors of Kona.
Powerman Zofingen is a duathlon consisting of a
