Kennedy Kicks it in Karten, Austria
As the locals might say,
"Kevin ist sehr gut gelaufen"

7/9/02 -
Hard work paid off for Hypercat Athlete, Kevin Kennedy.  Kennedy's efforts spurred him to a 18+ minute personal best on the ironman course in Karnten, Austria.

Kennedy clocked a sub-hour 2.4mile swim in 58:58, a sub 5 hour 112 mile bike in 4:47:33, and a 3:22:51 marathon to finish 15th in the Men 25-29 age group with a 9:25:30 final time. Congratulations Kevin!

Austria represented Kevin's 12 attempt at Ironman and his 10th Ironman finish.  Kevin's most recent Ironman prior to Austria, was his 3rd place overall finish in 10:07:33 at the Great Floridian in October 2001.

Kevin's next race is the Half-Vineman on August 4th, where he will join Hypercats, Jamie Sandidge, Tonya Grossman and Rachel Sears for a toasty day in wine country.
