Dan Crowley and Rachel Sears show they still
have some muscle, post race at Powerman Tennessee.

Power On!
Powerman Tennessee
Race Report

College Grove, Tennessee

Representing Hypercat in the more eastern parts of the country, Dan Crowley and Rachel Sears, took on the beautiful and challenging course of Powerman Tennessee on Sunday May 6th.

Race morning athletes were met with foggy, humid, but otherwise good conditions.  After a 15 minute delay, the races were on!

Faced with an opening out & back 7.5k run, a rolling 50k bike course and a final 7.5k on the same course, Dan Crowley proved that he could 'du' it for the long haul.  Toughing out the bike despite calf cramps and the hilly rigors of this challenging course, Dan finished his first Powerman race in stellar fashion. Congrats speedoman!

In addition to competing in the Powerman race, Dan also represented the New England region/ USA Duathlon Commission at a meeting with John Raadshelders, President of the International Powerman Association to discuss the future of Powerman and duathlon racing.

Dan's next race is the Dannon duathlon in Wrentham, MA on 5/19/02.
