Basic Maintenance


Are you lost on how to take care of your bicycle?  Have you heard you should put oil on your chain and check the tire pressure?  Do you know what to do when you chain starts to skip? Or your gears suddenly make noise?  Or what that thingy is called?  Then take a couple hours out of your life and learn how and when to do the basic maintenance on your bike.  From simple cable tensioning to headset adjusting, we will be covering all you need to keep your stead running smooth throughout the long training year.   

Note:  This is a demonstration and discussion course, you will not be asked to touch anything unless you want to so don�t worry about getting dirty.  All materials will be supplied so please do not bring anything, space is limited in the shop

Flat Repair


Year after year one of the most popular clinics Hypercat Racing offers is this hands on clinic.  Hundreds of people have learned form Coach Phil and Hypercat Racing the easy and simple fool proof way to fix your flat tire (front or rear).  You will learn how to completely and easily remove and reinstall your tire and tube.  We will discuss tools, techniques, and roadside repair, tips, inflators, and race tips.  Everyone will be able to change their own flat by the end of this class.  Never feel confused or frustrated again.  Book this class for your club, team, group, or organization.  

Note:  you may bring your own road wheels, however Hypercat Racing will provide wheels for those that don�t bring their own.  You will be sitting on a floor, changing tires, and around bicycle parts so please dress accordingly.

Class Cost:         Since this class is offered to clubs, teams, and groups there is a progressive price schedule for larger groups.  Please consult table for price rates.

Tubular Installation


Do you have a new set of Race Wheels?  Have you ever paid a shop $20-$30 each to glue your tires on for you?  Are you thinking of buying tubular wheels but have head horror stories about gluing, or difficulty, or mess.  Then let expert mechanic Philip Casanta take you through the steps to tubular installation freedom.  
From pre-stretching to mounting to removal to clean up, learn the proper steps and secret tips in these hands on demonstration classes that will cover the complete installation and removal of a tubular tire.  You will not be required to touch glue or any type of chemicals during the class, however if you desire the opportunity is there. 

Note:  you may bring your own wheels for question purposes, however we will be working on a shop wheel for demonstration purposes.  If you plan to touch glue or use chemicals please wear appropriate clothing.

Bike Packing / Boxing / Rebuilding


Do you travel or are you planning to travel with your bike.  Then let Hypercat Racing teach you how to ensure your bike is a protected as it can be.  Learn how to correctly mark, disassemble, and pack your bike for safety and easy reassembly.  We will also discuss airline travel tips, shipping options, materials, checklists, supplies, tools, and bike travel cases.  Bike packing is an art that easily learned, all you need is the right tools and a little practice. 

Note:  All participants will have the opportunity to purchase a bike case after the class for a discounted price. . If you already own a bike case feel free to bring that along.
