Cornering Clinic - Level 1

The is the first in a series of three clinics designed to help you become more comfortable, efficient, safe and fast through all types of corners.
You will learn the basics of safe, effective cornering.  Practiced on a closed, coned, smooth, parking lot course we will be performing both left and right hand 90 degree turns, left and Right hand U-turns, as well as learning spotting techniques, practicing line choice, braking techniques and exit strategies.  
You will be shown strategies for adjusting to different speeds, as well as many ways to avoid crashes.    

Acceptable bikes:  Road bikes, Triathlon bikes, TT bikes, and Mountain/ Hybrid bikes with street specific tires.  No knobby tires will be allowed.

Class Location:  Treasure Island or Presidio in San Francisco - location finalized week of clinic
Class Size:         12-15 people
Class Duration:   2-hours

Cornering Clinic - Level 2


Building on the skills from Cornering 1 this clinic will help you further develop a sense of timing and control.  We will explore the strategies of effective counter steering, line choice, exit strategies, S-turns, knee positioning, hand positioning, braking, and introduce the concept of directional adjustments.  You must be comfortable making both left and right hand 90-degree corners at speed before taking this class. For safety reasons each participant will be given a cornering test before being allowed to proceed with this class.  

Acceptable bikes:  Road bikes and Triathlon bikes only.  
No mountain or hybrid bikes of any kind are appropriate for this class.

Class Location:  Treasure Island or Presidio in San Francisco - 
Class Size:         10-12 people
Class Duration:   2-hours

Cornering Clinic - Level 3 - Road


Our most advanced group cornering clinic.  This class will refine your cornering abilities through S-turns, directional adjustments, and restricted radius turning. Learn strategies for passing, obstacle avoidance, in turn braking, accelerating without pedaling, deep leaning, and many other advanced skills.  Depending on level of class and time 2 wheel drifting will also be introduced. 

Please only register for this class if you feel your corning skills are excellent.  This class will ask you to corner on the edge at very fast paces and should not be attempted by anyone without absolute confidence.  A short test will be administered 20 minutes before the start of the class, Pass/ Fail. 

Acceptable bikes:  Road bikes only.  No mountain or hybrid bikes of any kind will be allowed in this class.

Class Size:         6 people max
Class Duration:  2-hours
Class Cost:        $55

Cornering Clinic - Level 3 - Triathlon


Our most advanced group cornering clinic, same as the road class but this one specifically tailored to Triathlon handlebar equipped bikes.  This class will refine your cornering abilities through S-turns, directional adjustments, and restricted radius turning. Learn strategies for passing, obstacle avoidance, in turn braking, accelerating without pedaling, deep leaning, and many other advanced skills.  Depending on level of class and time 2 wheel drifting will also be introduced.
