Balance
and Control |
An absolute must for the novice cyclist and a great refresher course for
the more experienced cyclist. This
clinic is designed to maximize your efficiency when getting into and out of
your clipless pedals, to develop a more efficient take off and to
reinforce your ability to ride in a straight line.
Drills include starting and stopping at pre-determined spots,
clipping in and clipping out of pedals, �look-back� techniques, one
handed riding control, straight line practice, and removal of water
bottle. This class is highly
recommended before taking the transition courses. This course is in a
closed parking lot course with cones and markers.

of bicycles and all abilities.

Bike
Handling 101 |
Good bike handling skills are the foundation to every other cycling skill.
If you would like to develop better descending skills, or become more efficient at cornering,
then confidence in your bike handling is key.
For this clinic we will be using a series of drills to emphasize
balance and control. Different
than the �balance and control� course in which we introduce basic
concepts like removing one hand from the bar, this class will test your
ability to stay balanced while navigating tight and intricate courses,
pick up and place objects on the ground while riding, and a other
fundamental skill builders. This is a
fun and challenging way to quickly improve your cycling foundation.
Note:
This class is taught in a closed smooth parking lot with cones and
other delineators. All
bicycles and abilities are welcome. It
is not necessary to take any classes before this one, however if you are
very new to cycling or uncomfortable getting into and out of your pedals
please consider taking balance and control first.

Bike
Handling 201 / Aerobar Riding |
In this course you will be learning the proper use of your aero bars.
Aero bars are one of the greatest tools available to improve
aerodynamic performance but are useless if you do not feel comfortable using them.
In this clinic you will be challenged to ride a closed course in your
aero bars navigating straights, left and right turns, obstacles,
performing accelerations while practicing
shifting, and learning braking control.
The focus of this clinic is to finish with the confidence to use
your aero bars whenever appropriate.

Bike
Handling 301 |
Challenge is the word of the day for this class. In Bike Handling
301 we continue to build a strong foundation of necessary skills. Using a
series of drills to emphasize balance and control, we will test ourselves
through a series of obstacles. Different than the "Bike Handling
101" course in which we introduce basic concepts, this class will
test your ability to stay balanced while navigating tight and intricate
courses, clearing obstacles (boards, potholes, etc...), riding up and down
curbs and a riding with no hands. This is a very challenging class, but is
guaranteed to be fun and to increase your skills and confidence.

you must have aero bars to participate in this course.

Riding |
Every Cyclist from novice to experienced benefits from riding
in a group. During this course
we will cover the safety, techniques, hand and voice signals, and unique
skills of riding in a group dynamic. We
will discuss and practice the concepts of leading, following, holding a
line, using hand and voice signals, handling traffic, looking behind, and
group climbing. This is a must
take class for understanding how to ride predictably and safely in a
group. Your club, team, group,
or organization can book this class.

Emergency
Braking |
Brake handling skills are the order of business for this challenging
class. Does coming to a sudden
and immediate full stop without putting your feet down while at the same
time keeping your bike in a straight line and not skidding sound
impossible? Well its not and
in this class we will practice techniques designed to provide the
confidence and control to be able to come to an emergency stop without
crashing or causing a crash. A
crucial skill for pack riding and everyday training as well as racing.
Triathletes can benefit from this class as well.
Never go over another dismount line.
Acceptable bikes:
Road bikes, Triathlon bikes, TT bikes, and Mountain/ Hybrid bikes
with street specific tires. No
knobby tires will be allowed.

Have you fallen victim to an attack at the top of a climb or coming out of

No matter how much you train and train, you still don't seem to be able to
keep up?
Welcome to Speed Work 101!
In this course we will learn proper technique, form and body positions
necessary to create a new weapon in your cycling arsenal. All the
fitness in the world can got to waste without the proper form and
technique. Learn hand and body positioning, pedaling techniques,
bike handling skills, acceleration techniques, shifting and host of other
skills specific to the development of sprinting and interval skills.
Acceptable bikes:
This class includes general workouts and guidelines for a 6 week
plan to increase your interval fitness and sprinting ability.
