Cal Aggie Crit - Rachel Sears crosses line in First!
Coach Phil tested his mettle in both the Men's Masters and the 1/2/3
race.
In between races, he cheered on Rachel who took the lead on a two person
break for 7 laps of today's Cal Aggie Crit at Land Park in Sacramento.
Pulling for the majority of the break, Rachel avoided getting sucked
back to the pack, by a team leader from the Body Concepts team. Without
help from the other rider, Rachel opted to muscle her way to the finish,
securing a victory despite a fast closing pack in the final stretch.

- Winning at the Auburn Resolution Trail Runs.
Rachel finished in 1st place, taking the overall women's title
at the 10 mile trail race in Auburn, CA on a stormy New Year's day.
The course followed several miles of the famous Western States 100 and was
especially rugged given the dramatic downpours and gale force winds
characteristic of northern california that day.
Coach Phil turned an ankle mid race, but managed to get back into the
swing of things and placed 3rd overall in the men's 10k race.
Coach Phil took home a 2nd place medal for the 30-39 age group.
