Thank
you for signing up for the June edition of Cycling basics. What to bring: Bicycle, Cycling clothes, Cycling shoes, Helmet (mandatory) note: if you do not bring a helmet you will not be allowed to ride, Sunglasses, Sunscreen, Jacket or windbreaker, Warm clothes (just in case), Snack food, Gels, Bars, Sack Lunch, Spare Tube, Pump, Tire Levers, Hydration drink, and Gloves Where
to meet: We will be meeting on Treasure Island at the Tri-California race
site transition area. To get to Treasure Island you must enter via the Bay
Bridge from either direction. Enter
through the Main gates of the Island and make the first right (California
Avenue). The Transition Area is the large parking lot on the right just past
Avenue C. Look for the red
convertible. License plate "TRIRAT" When
to meet: I request that all
participants arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled class so that we may start
on time. Late arrivals will receive
the course handouts at the end of the session. Bike Choice: Tri-Bike, Road Bike, or Mountain Bike. If you have the choice the most desirable bike for learning the skills we will be covering is a road bike. However a Tri-Bike will be fine, in fact if you are not comfortable on your Tri-Bike this may be the best choice. Please do not bring Mountain bikes to the cornering or descending clinics without prior approval. This should cover all of your basic questions. If you have additional questions or concerns please email me at coachphil3@msn.com. I look forward to seeing you all out there.
