for the ITU Long Course Duathlon World Championships.

Jose Rock N Roll Half Marathon
Congratulations to Karen Bletzer on her finish at today's
San Jose Rock N Roll Half Marathon. Karen ran a very steady and even
paced 13.1 miles
to finish in the top third of her age group. Way to go, Karen!

Hypercats - PR's at Big Kahuna Half Ironman
Julie Pfeifle set a personal best and finished 7th F45-49 in 5:38
at the Big Kahuna
Half Ironman on Sunday in Santa Cruz. Way to go Julie!
Jason LaBarbera finished his very first half ironman having juggled the
rigors of
a bicoastal work environment and being a daddy to two little girls. Great
job Jason!
Always a Hypercat, Ian Charles set a PR crossing the line in 4:55.
Smokin' fast Ian! Great job!
Next up on the race calendar, Robert Tang (Ironman Austria '07 finisher)
will join a relay team
a ride the bike leg of the Sentinel Olympic triathlon next month.

wins the Ukiah Triathlon
After racing in the Golden Gate Open XC race on Sunday in Golden Gate
Park, Rachel
traveled north to Ukiah, CA to support the Rotary of South Ukiah's Ukiah
Triathlon on Sunday.
The Rotary raises funds and provides personal dictionaries to each third
grade student in Ukiah.
Rachel covered the half mile swim, 21.5 mile bike and 3 mile XC run in
1:36:11,
finishing 1st female overall and 9th in the field.

for Rachel at the Malibu Oceanside Open Cross Country Race
Celebrating her 33rd birthday, Rachel returned to her running roots and
ran
the 1st annual Malibu Oceanside Open XC race on the campus of Pepperdine
University.
After leading over 2 miles of the 3 mile course, Rachel enjoyed the
scenery and finished in 2nd place
while also taking the F30-34 age group win. |
